An Awesome Day !! ( but every day in the woods is aw some to me ).. Yes it rained... but really.. do you get more wet on a rainy day than a dry day? NO... you leave soaked ether way. and that's OK,, and that's part of the feeling of accomplishment you get from this work.
Thanks to all of you who joined us today.. 9 total people were up there today..
guests.. Jeff ( zukicon5 ) Justin ( crusty) and Mike ( possumpieces ) were present today.. It was nice to be able to start sharing this gift of a trail system with the outside world. and speaking of outside.... feel free to visit and or join our group. We are a working club.. and today you guys proved you can and will work for these trails. Just what we are looking for.
We completed brushing the long stretch of trail that was required to get DNR and SEPA going on this.
Thanks again everyone.. Dave.

Congrats for getting this far!!!! I really enjoyed being able to go up finally, I was kinda feeling like it would never happen. It was nice to see a Sunday based event up there as i work Saturdays almost always. I will be checking in for more days that I can attend!
Thanks Hootie for showing me around, it really put into perspective what was going on.

I second what Hootie said. Thank you to everyone who helped out this weekend. It's much appreciated! It's definitely a new chapter on the Yacolt project. Scouting trails and marking a ribbon line was one thing, but to actually be able to start clearing those lines was very rewarding. If you missed out this weekend, don't worry though. There's plenty more brushing, and work to be done. Keep an eye on the board for upcoming work parties.

I had a great time and am glad I went. Semi-patiently waiting for the next one. LOL

Just hang on to it i'm sure we'll be back out with ya'll. My grandson had a great time (believe that or not, a kid) he would have been back on sunday if it waasn't for my bussiness trip. Can't wait till it's ready for wheeling.
