Well,, thanks for the offer of help... we do appreciate it and will be hoping for a lot of help... hopefully end of June??
We are just finishing up with the stream typing for the environmental portion of the plan.. then we will be actually really working on the trails..
Best way to help is to be a member... because this way you can have access to the members only section that right now has the information about work parties.. and... since at this time we are being careful not to let the public up and into the areas that are being looked at.. DNR would not want people in the areas we are in just yet. It is going to be tricky keeping people off the trails until they are done... anytime before they are done will cause damage to the trail and to the trust the DNR has given us for this project.
But... like I said above.. at a certain point we are really going to want help and we WILL put the word out in the public section of the forum and probably other forums as well.
Do keep in touch..,.. feel free to repost to this thread in a month or so and I will update for you.. thanks again.. Dave.

I would say it depends on the Work Party. We have some that all we need is your body to just come hiking / scouting, other times we need trucks and trailers, and others we need hand tools and stuff. We will be posting more about work party's as they come along. We will make sure you know when they are (via the forum or meetings) and what you need to bring to be prepared. Thank you for the interest and keep checking in and posting any questions or concerns. These are your trails also so any input is always helpful (please keep in mind we have been working on these trails for multiple years and some things are already set in stone with DNR.) Again thanks for asking and can't wait to see you at our next work party. ;D

Once the work start its all hands on deck so we'll be calling all wheelers to come and help. We need to match the grant fund dollars with Volunteer hours or DNR won’t get then in the future so the more the merrier
