Talk to me about your Ford diesel trucks. Love em' or hate em'?
Here is our 2003 F-350 (6.0). Absolute nightmare for first 500,000 miles. Worked it hard (like you are supposed to). It had more "hook time" than should be legal. Now that it's "retired" and only works as a grocery getter, local trips, etc. - it runs like a champ - go figure...
Now we have the 2006 F-350 (6.0). So far, some oil cooler issues that made a huge mess of EVERYTHING and now some FICM (fuel injector control module) issues.
Anyone have any experience with the "New & Improved" Ford diesels? I would love to hear your comments...
Thanks in advance,
My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body... But rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... WOW! What a Wild Ride!
been hearing good reviews of the new 6.7l trucks and stay away from the 6.4l from 08-10 GARBAGE! (not that the 6.0's were any better) Lets swap a 5.9 common rail cummins into that 03 and that will last another 500k for sure.

poorboy: Can somebody give me the official rules for the Cowbell please?

Wyldman: The Cowbell... If you are a club member and you're on one of our wheelin' trips. If you get stuck on an obstacle and have to be pulled out by your winch or someone elses winch/strap. You earn the Cowbell.

poorboy: Wyldman, I got to see the passing of the bell at the meeting and learned quite a bit about the tradition.
