Ha, ha! Mostly a joke, but if anybody is in to run the Rubicon next weekend, I guess I'll see you there!

Made it back in (mostly) one piece. My Yukon Zip Locker (brand new w/4.88's) blew up within 200 feet of getting on the trail...gear oil blowing out of the vent means I probably lost an o-ring. Haven't looked at it yet. Came down hard on my rear bumper, rear view mirror came off with a chunk of windshield and cracked the glass. Both of our tail pipes took some damage. Sliders and gas tank skids got a workout. Thank goodness for heavy duty tie rods! Coming back the front axle of our 3 axle trailer broke about 1/4 mile from the trail head. The load shifted, burning up that axles' passenger tire, also taking out my buddies new MTR/Kevlar sidewall, almost had a fire. Had to unload the Jeeps on the side of the road. Had another trailer tire blow out just outside of Sacramento. So, the Jeeps are on a transport truck for WAY too much money, but we did it and we're home. Oh yeah, it monsooned the ENTIRE time after the first night. Everybody told us we were nuts for attempting it. We said, "Meh, we're from the N.W. baby!" Well, it was really wet, we didn't take our time much and only stayed one night on the trail at Indian Trail. s19.photobucket.com/user/c_zielsdorf/slideshow/Jeepin/Rubicon%20Trail%202013
