ok guys, i have a request for anyone who can, there is a person who has been lost for two nights, going on a third day in the GPNF, up around goose lake, cresa(the emergency management org) is requesting searcher and people with 4wds, apparently to search the roads and cover as much ground as possible. -now i know most of you do not have DEM numbers, or offical certs, but this i have a feeling they are more concerned at this point with the given conditions. this is not a child, so again i dont think the concern for having qualify people(we have to pass background checks ect and go though other hoops) is as important as finding this individual alive. please call me 503 953 3085 or text(after 930pm) me if you can go or would like to. its goose lake campground in the GPNF. the 4th shift is schedualed to start at 0800(8am) tomorrow moning, i will be leaving my house in vancouver at roughly 0530 -its a roughly 2hr drive according to google.

well its the end of day 3, the subject is a 30yo male, not prepared for the conditions he has faced for the past 3 days, no supplys, only a light rain coat and hiking boots... at this point he is probably deceased(just my thoughts givin the situation) and with the subject deceased it make the search harder and less ugent(yes i know someone is going to call me an animal for saying that, but its the truth, im not about to put others in danger or risk for losing work time or damage to their rigs ect if the person is dead), sadly yes the family will be left without closure till some conformation has been made, but at this point its anyones guess as to when that could be. -there has been no offical word or call been made at this time, but the odds do not look good.
im not heading out untill something more concrete is established.

Your an animal... Just messing with you buddy. Thanks for all that you do in the search and rescue. Its the people like you that are willing to take the time to try and help a complete stranger that make this club so great!
