If you look closely, you can see the hourglass shape in the bolt on the the left... it's a grade 5 bolt, but instead of snapping, it just stretched a bit... didn't want that guy snapping on me..

That's the oil fill/return and engine mounting plate. The mounting plate is because I was too cheap to pay the $40 people wanted for the factory A/C mount.

Made some progress!
I pulled an A/C idle up VSV from a 3.0 It has an adjustment screw so that I can manually set the idle up speed.
Green lines mark the vacuum headed to the VSV, and then to the larger diaphragm. When power goes to the VSV, it opens, and vacuum is applied to the diaphragm. When vacuum is applied to the diaphragm, it opens up the larger bypass, allowing air from the blue line through, and into the intake through the red line. Next is to tap into the TPS, and wire up a normally open relay, so that the EGR is 'tricked' and simulates that the throttle is open. Then, wire both the relay, and the VSV to a time delay relay, and into the switch in the dash.
Hard work is starting to pay off

I would think most any "engine bay" hose is going to survive. I opened the hole on the filter itself and slid it right over the barbed fitting then added hose clamp. No hose inbetween. But the space you have might not allow that, I don't know?

Tried that. As it is, the belt barely pulls over the pulleys. Once it settles into the groves, it's got too much slack to take up, so I'm repositioning the York about an inch higher
