I'm going up with the ranger tomorrow for a shake down... wanna join us? PM if so.. I have a roached T-case Bearing. Gonna get it rebuilt, get freakin' SYE as well so I can get rid of the vibes. She's not quite ready yet. I did get the bumper and exhaust on though! Off with the old. Brackets on. It's every bit of 100 lbs. Leveling and torquing fasteners. This went on too. (no not the Hi-lift,, though it did get mounted.) All Done and buttoned up. License plate relocated as well. Now to find a way to light it so Johnny Law doesn't harass me.

Where did you mount the license plate?

Where did you mount the license plate? Left side, just above the 4.0 liter placard. I need to figure out an elegant lighting solution to keep Johnny Law happy.

She came home yesterday from the shop... again. SYE is in, T-case rebuilt. Still have some noise from somewhere in the drivetrain, but far, far better than before. If it is internal to the trans, than we'll just live with it and when it goes, we'll replace it when the time comes. No more driveline vibes.

Turns out the noise is a Pinion Bearing. Looks like I'm digging into the 8.25" sometime soon. We did a 300 mile run Friday afternoon. 19MPG with just me and no A/C useage. With both of my kids, myself and half a house full of clothes (They are with me for three weeks) and heavy A/C use,we managed to just eek out a tick over 17MPG on the return run. With nearly 500 miles on the lift install, it's time for some lube. She squeaks a little. My Daughter manned the camera and got this shot: Yep, all two's. I still have to swap out the OP Sending Unit, so the gauge might actually work.
