Went up and hiked around out on the trails at Ladee Flats this morning. Started at the east end of the 800 trail and followed it back to the 4610 rd. Then went down the 802 trail to the 803 trail and back out to the main rd. Its a beautiful area. And the trail system has a lot of potential. It reminded me a lot of the areas that I use to go wheeling when I had my first Cherokee. Filter of the 800 trail. First "obstacle" on the trail. The trail is mostly an unmaintained forest service road. There are a few of these man made obstacles on the trail. A few of them look entertaining and a few of them make you scratch your head. But its another legal trail system and thats what really matters! This one looks potentially entertaining And this area made me scratch my head Theres and easy side and an easier side. The easy side has some real rock in it that could turn into something more extreme More trail

Natural rock, You cant make that! Onto the 802 trail Filter Back of the filter The 802 is mostly an old road The left side is all green and the right side is burned from last years 36 pit wildfire. Im going to go out on a limb and say that the left side would look like the right had there not been the access of this road to get firefighters and equipment in to fight the fire. I only followed the 802 about half way then went down the 803 The 803 is easy, flat, straight And turns into a mud bog Titan wasnt sure about this stuff This trail system has plenty of potential. But like all of the new local trail systems its going to take time and lots of effort from the 4x4 community. If you want to help (and I know that Pistons Wild members do) there is a Ladee Flats Trail Planning Field Trip Meeting on August 8th starting at 10am until approximately 1pm. Meet at the Ohv staging area, you may also know it as the far side 800 trail head (Rocky filter side). This is the next step in the planning process to make a bigger, better ohv area. Come out and bring your positive input and ideas. If you are unfamiliar with the area it's just outside Estacada, Or. La Dee OHV Riding Area located just 7 miles south of Estacada off Hwy 224. Follow Forest Service Road 4610 East past Silver Fox RV park for approximately 2 miles to staging area. La Dee offers the opportunity for Class 1, 2, and 3 type vehicles. Ladee Flats trail map
