Hi everyone. I was headed to La Dee Flats on Nov 14th to run the system. I thought we could meet up at 9:00am. Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about the area. A few of us went up to help the Dirt Minions with a work party and the system looks intriguing. I believe we can run the entire trails fairly quickly. So... I will bring my BBQ for a hot lunch (bring your now meat) and we'll just enjoy the area. To my knowledge the trails are pretty easy and are really quad friendly. So, bring what you got and enjoy a day in the woods.
Directions: Take the main road east out of Estacada for 8 miles. Turn left at the Clackamas RV park which is at the end of a lake on your right. Then stay left and up the hill you go to the trails (about 3 miles maybe). If there is an easier way to describe how to get there, please post up. I'm not sure if there is a parking area for trucks and trailers. I'm also hoping that someone who knows the trails better than I will help lead us around. Anyway... I'll bring an easy up in case it rains. Please post up if you are interested in going.
Until Next Time.... Keep it on three wheels!
Douglas

Clarification: I am planning on being at the trails by 8:45ish and roll out by 9:00. I was planning on doing breakfast somewhere before hand. Not sure where yet. If anyone other than Daryl is going, It would sure be nice to know who. If you have a hot spot you would like to do breakfast, post up.

I will no longer be making it. Instead I will be working. When we went up for the work party the Fiorito's and I had breakfast at the Cazadero Inn in Estacada. And it was tasty. Daryl

Thanks 69 Jeepster for being there with the answer.
So... Here is the final plan. Meet at the old TGIFridays parking lot at 7am (As Shawn said) and caravan down to Estacada for breakfast. We will be eating at the Cazadero Inn (http://cazaderoinn.com Go to there breakfast menu. Here is the address: 352 SE Hwy 211, Estacada, Oregon) at about 8ish. Then we will head up to the trails. I understand that the forest service has made a staging area on the main road up by one of the trail heads. We will meet there for the final time before hitting the trails. We should roll out about 9:30 - 10:00am. If people would like to meet us there, that would work. Please let me know if that is your plan, so I can watch for you. We will be on CB channel 14. Plan on a very wet day.
I'm looking for to a fun day in the woods!!! Douglas

Its me again with a few friendly reminders to all who are going.
Make sure you have ALL of your valve stem caps on. Mud and slop can really mess up a valve and you will lose air in your tires.
Also, for those who have never wheeled with us before. A few rules from the club and trail boss. There is NO alcohol while on the trails! If you must smoke, please keep your butts in your ashtray. That's what it's there for. Please pick up any trash you see while in the woods. Please keep the language to PG. We are a family friendly club and there might be children present. AND last but not least: Have fun!!! Get stuck!!! Get mud in your teeth!!! And keep a smile on your face!!!
See you guys in the morning. Douglas
