Jeff,
Nothing new on the trail building yet. DNR is still working on answering all the public commment portion that they have to respond to before we can move forward. There is only one left that they are working on to my knowledge.
Pick lines and tape have been set out. The scouting crew is still playing mountain goats in one area DNR would like us to go. That is quite a challenge at the moment with putting in a bridge ect.
I guess the best answer I can give is we are still in a holding pattern. Things are progessing just at a slow pace.
If I have not conveyed this properly please someone correct it for me.
Lance

The only thing I would add is... The earliest possible time we can actually move rock is August. That is only if all the planets align properly and everything gets dealt with on DNR's side.
Hopefully this helps.

i got the login problem fixed. in my ranting i was under the impression that the trails at browns camp that the fullsize guys run are basically gravel roads. i have had friends run BC with broncos and blazers and they have all told me not to run there because the trails are to small for our rigs. so i guess ill have to wait and see how this trail system plays out. You should hook up with me and the rest of the mudpuppies. We know the trails well and know a lot of trails that are a lot of fun and full size friendly.

The 4x4 trails for the first section have been p-lined (marked). We are just waiting for the ATV and Dirtbike guys to mark their lines. Once that is completed we all submit our final plans to DNR and wait for a 14 day DNR internal SEPA to give interested parties a chance to make comments. We can't begin to turn dirt until that is completed. Please remember that working with the government is always slow going and over the past 3 1/2 years, we have learned the hard way that almost nothing ever get completed on schedule. We are pushing as hard as we can - but only so much of this is within our control. Stay tuned very shortly for scheduled work parties to begin clearing brush on the proposed trails as we DO NOT have to wait for completion of the 14 day SEPA to clear brush - but we DO need to wait for the 14 day SEPA to be completed to turn dirt. Since we have been working VERY closely with DNR and other interested parties to mark the proposed trails - we are expecting no issues... To keep everyone busy and entertained until then, please join us for the following events: DNR "Pick Up the Burn" - Saturday, September 25, 2010 - Hosted by Piston's Wild Click here for more information: pistonswildforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=yacoltburnforestmatters&action=display&thread=1232&page=1Piston's Wild 4x4 Cruise-In - Sunday, October 3, 2010 - Hosted by Woody's 4x4 All proceeds to benefit motorized trails in the Yacolt Burn. Click here for more information: pistonswildforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=clubevents&action=display&thread=1231Kind regards, Crystal

Not pushing. Just anxious for an update. I already plan on coming to the events and dragging along as many people as possable.... I am thankfull for all of you doing what you are to get this going, as fast as you have. I am so happy that my kids can see this all come together, and want them to know how hard it is to get places like this. They have to respect that so that it can be here for there kids.

When we have new information - we will post it on the forum.
When work parties dates are confirmed and approved by DNR - we will post it on the forum.
As of right now - there is no new information about the trails and there are no confirmed work party dates scheduled for trail building.
As we always have done, and always will do - we will post updates when progress is made.
Thank you.
Crystal
