Wow, Just WOW! Sometimes your hard work does get noticed and is appreciated by others. Nice job, Crystal.
Can I work out a press release and try to beat the media over the head with it? I'll have a draft to you today, and you can forward it to run it by Mr. Gilman and Mr. Ockert.

Thank you Gordon,
That would be great - but we will need to hold off on sending the info to the media until after the "official" announcement at Easter Jeep Safari which is at the end of March in Moab, Utah.
We will also need DNR to approve the press release as well since this is in regards to activities on their land.
Please let me know how I can help.
Crystal

OK, I have the EJS dates on my calendar, I hope to go next year. I will pencil (OK, word process) something together, and send it to you. You can let DNR and BFG have their input, we have a couple of weeks. Depending on how things go here today, I may get it to you today. If not, early next week.
What about other websites? I figured on the web once, meant on the web everywhere?

What an honor! This is great having a company like BFG behind The Yacolt Burn Trails Project. This should really help keep the ball rolling!

Hey Crystal, tomorrow is the last day of EJS. Do we want to get that news release sent out to the local media?

MOAB, Utah – BFGoodrich Tires has announced the five trails selected for its Outstanding Trails program at a presentation held in Moab, Utah during the Easter Jeep Safari. Celebrating the program’s five year anniversary in 2010, the Outstanding Trails program has recognized 19 trails, donating more than $70,000 to clubs across the United States and Canada. The program was established to raise awareness for responsible use, and preservation of, off-road trails while providing aid in the trails’ conservation efforts. In collaboration with Tread Lightly! and United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA), BFGoodrich Tires is proud to present the 2010 Outstanding Trails: • Rausch Creek, Pa. • Drummond Island, Mich. • Yacolt, Wash. • Johnson Valley, Calif. • Holy Cross, Colo. “The five trails that have been selected this year are well-deserving of the recognition and we’re excited to have them part of the Outstanding Trails family,” said Joe Mazur, light-truck marketing manager, BFGoodrich Tires. “We look forward to honoring the clubs at selected events throughout the year and helping them maintain and preserve these beautiful off-road trails for everyone to enjoy.” The five 2010 Outstanding Trails cover the map from the Mojave Desert in Southern California to the green forests of Pennsylvania. The trails were narrowed down and selected by UFWDA, Tread Lightly! and BFGoodrich Tires. BFGoodrich Tires will host several events honoring each of the five trails beginning in June and running through October. The events will highlight the beauty and uniqueness of each trail, as well as educate off-road enthusiasts on the responsible use of trails. A grant will also be awarded to each of the clubs associated with the trails to help conserve the trail’s beauty. The map shows it in the wrong spot, as far as the trails go.

Good work all, and I am sure you gave the BFG reps a good tour of the area. It was a pleasure to nominate this group and this trail area for this recognition. Hard work does get recognized. I just saw the press release of the event. Looks like a good time had by all.
Thanks for your hard work.
