I'm looking for a light weight trailer to haul our 1986 Jeep Cherokee behind our 1988 Jeep Cherokee. I'm thinking of a min. 6'x10' or 6'x12' tandom axle. I'm looking at maybe having one custom made. But thought I'd ask if anyone has one they are looking to get rid of first. For those of you on poorboy, I've got a topic started in "wanted" section.

In my opinion WAY to much weight for that XJ to be yarding around, but I tend to be cautious. I will keep an eye out for you on a light trailer. Trailer Brakes are a necessity for this one.

Long-term goal on this trailer is to be pulling it behind a RV with our 1986 Cherokee on it. But if we need to pull it behind our 1988 Cherokee, I'd like to be able to without too much diffacutely. The 1988 Cherokee does have the factory tow option. And yes, electric brakes are a must on the trailer.

I've heard that MS Trailer will custom build trailers for you. He is located just east of Molalla Oregon. ms-trailer.com/

How much do you want to spend. This looks like a good deal. May have to modify it to make it wider, and put stronger fenders on you can drive over but 400 bucks is cheap. The XJ at 5' will have half of each tire on the bed on each side......so making it wider would be a nice idea, out to the fender edge maybe. A way to lighten it up is to take all the wood off and just have 2 boards for your tires, just an idea. Looks as if most are going for 1K on Craigslist. portland.craigslist.org/clk/for/1725904523.html

Got his address from the phone number and drove to his place and bought the trailer. He said he got over whelmed with phone calls and realised he might have had it priced too low. He took his phone off the hook, and was going to call back people. Glad I decided to go over there, trailer is in great shape and tracks very nice down the freeway, Thanks Fivendime for posting this up.

Glad to hear you picked it up! I thought by the looks of it, it was what you were looking for and for the price you couldn't go wrong!
