Back ground: I run a HP D44 and full hydro steering. The axle came without steering stops. I have replaced the u joints several times due to over steering/too great of an angle on the knuckles. My question: What is the max operating angle for a Spicer 5-760X ? Before you start damaging it ? Also, how do you measure such an angle without some fancy tool to do so ? TIA !

I would try this. Put the front end of the Jeep off the ground and put it in gear to turn the front wheels. Have someone turn your steering wheel slowly. I think the U-Joint should start making a popping noise and have a noticeable movement when they get to the critical point of too far. Other then that I have no idea on the turning radius.
