Ever since the March club run, Slymer has had the cow bell.
On the July club run to Evan's Creek, the bell was passed a couple of times.
Doug Van Dyke with 'ol Black got the honor of listening to the bell for a few minutes when he thought it would be a great idea to check out the blue sky and clouds.
With careful winching they brought Doug and 'ol Black back down to earth and on their way up the rest of the hill.
Slymer made it past that section just fine but ran into a minor hang up. Slymer didn't fit between the rock and the hard place. After getting small body damage from the tree root we tryed to back up to re-aline and Slymer desided that that Kira and I needed a little ride down the hill backwards on two wheels! Yes, Slymer doesn't like not having the bell.
There are unfortunatly no pictures of Slymer teetering on two wheels but the after pictures of everyone trying to keep the rig rubber side down and the help getting past the rock and the hard place.
So, the cow bell was brought to Evan's Creek by Slymer and passed to 'ol Black....wait there's MORE!
As the weekend went on, 'ol Black and Slymer were dueling it out for the bell again.
'ol Black needed a little assitance getting up and over a rock face.
Slymer was a few rigs behind 'ol Black so the bell didn't get passed right away. Kira and I thought that maybe with the bell we would do pretty good getting up the rock face. Keeping the bell was a good idea because after a couple of tries we made it up and over the rock face. Doug then came and got the bell from us and said that we couldn't keep it 'cause it helped us out. This is proven a true story. About 50 yards away was a small rock feature with a slight off-camber caused a little disturbance with Slymer forward motion. This time we had to be winched over the rock to keep us from hanging over the edge of the drop-off.
By the end of the weekend the bell had been passed back and forth between 'ol Black and Slymer a couple of times.
Thanks to everyone wo helped get 'ol Black back to earth and for keeping Slymer rubber side down!
