I thought long and hard about the strickers yesterday. After Saturday's forest watch patrol and getting stuck twice I knew that my reason for lack of traction had nothing to do with the 45+ lbs of air in my tires and the fact that I didn't think I would need to air down. No none of that matters! The only reason I kept getting stuck in soft slushy snow was the complete lack of stickers on my truck. So yesterday afternoon, JT and I headed down to the carwash to wash off a couple months of mud and road grime, and fix our traction issue (even if JT did think getting stuck was awesome!). I am pretty sure that none of the stickers are in the exact same spot on both sides, but close enough that maybe only I will be able to tell. I am sure that because the stickers are not dead on matching in location on both sides of the truck, that the truck will lean slightly to one side, and will suffer from uneven tire wear as a result of my inability to line these up better. I can only hope that with more stickers in the future I can balance the truck out. And the most important sticker of all! I am sure that the addition of these stickers has given me at least another 5 MPG, while also adding more horse power and traction. I am concerned about the placement not aligning from side to side though and the potential impact this will have on my tires and suspension. If I can't get it more balanced out through additional stickers I may have to look into some of those space age spacers. Those things seem expensive though, so hopefully I wont have to go that route. ;D

Well Jon, if you wanted to make sure that your stickers were placed just right so as not to have any additonal wear, you could have consulted a couple of OCD girls in the club and they could have done that for you. As far as the cost on the space age spacers, I heard that due to the failing economy the prices have nearly been cut in half. These might become more affordable!

It's official, Ozwald is now gone. It's nothing personal Ozwald, and I probably could have lived with your lack of ground clearance and funny front suspension, I even got use to the color. But in good concious (and need for better credit) I just couldn't continue making that monthly payment. I owe some big bankers and need to pay them and while it hurts me to do it, you gotta go. I'll miss the way the front corners would lift up like a trophy truck when accelrating into a corner, I'll miss all of your automated traction control goodness even though it bugged me at times, I'll miss the extra 10" of wheel base, I'll miss the storage space and multiple places to put the junk I collect. I'll miss you mang! You where a good truck, we had some good times and I hope you find someone who will give you the love and mods you so much deserve. ;D On to the next one... ;D

So long Ozwald my friend. It just wont be the same on the trail without you. Farewell and hopefully your new owner will keep up with the mods your first had started. I know you are minus some parts like the expresso machine and the winch but you will survive.
Bye bye go go gadget Ozwald.
Hello Jeep! You have some tall shoes to fill from Ozwald I hope you are up to the challenge.

Great write up Jon, that FJ of yours looks awesome. Reminds me of Bill Right's in Beaverton and I new your FJ looked familiar you live like a half mile down from my snow wheeling budy Fry. If you need any help or tools on future builds let me know your probably a mile from me as the crow flys. I'm glad you went with MetalTech. to, their great people and great products and there local!!
