As far as trail leader I would be glad to lead, I think the more simple route would be best since its the first run of the year. 54 to sunset is always a nice run. 54 to Sunset just might put put me in that run with you guys if that's cool... that's right out in my neck of the woods

So, just what IS the plan now? Kyle, updated his original post with the latest plan (see below). Here is the plan. 9 A.M at Chelatchie Prairie Market. We are running the 54 to sunset. So who is for sure down? Here's the address of the market if anyone needs it. 42411 Northeast Yale Bridge Road Amboy, WA 98601-4603 I will likely see you guys in the morning along with the goofy dog.

Wow what a great day in the mountains. Kylin and I road with Joey today so he had a passenger. There was lots of snow that was mostly powder. We were able to rescue some "unexpended townies" from the ditches, and find the week pots in a couple rigs but all in all a great day in the mountains. I just goes to show we really do live in the Great North West. ;D

Today was the perfect snow run to scratch that snow itch I'd been having. I forgot the memory card for my camera so no pictures from me. The snow was pretty good today, and seemed to pack well. I'd say we probably hit 30" up on the top. Kyle was having some t-case issues, so rather than pushing over the pass we called it a day. We did stock up on some Karma points though. Got a few people turned around and heading back in the right direction on our way out. Makes you realize that you can never really be too prepared for a day in the snow, and as always NEVER go out alone. Looking forward to the next one!

What I forgot to mention and what was noted as NEVER wheel alone should also be stressed in another instance....story as follows.
Headed down the mountain to end the fun for the day. Were in about 6-8" of snow as I come around a corner and there it is.....a Subaru stuck in the ditch. I politely offered to rescue the lady that was in this pickle all by her lonesome. After I went around her I hopped out of the XJ and proceeded with this curious question I had in my mind. Here is what I said.
Did the GPS tell you to take this road?
This is what she said.
Yep, it said this was the road I need to take to get to (insert town near Carson)
I wondered if she had watched the news in the last couple years or maybe heard of these people that use those stupid things and get stuck up in the middle of no where? Oh well, she was great full that we pulled her out and pointed her back down the mountain in the right direction. Thus the story.

ive heard the stories about people getting stuck in the mountains and then blaming the GPS for getting them stuck. ive always wondered then was the GPS driving? or did a total lack of common sense take over and they kept trying to drive on a road that there vehicle was in capable of traversing? but kudos to you joey for helping out that lady and getting her on her way. good job on that. hopefully ill be ready for the next snow run. those were killer pics. good to see some deep stuff.
