I forgot to mention this, and I think I know the reason why its doing it. While headed back down the mountain I noticed a faint smell of gear fluid here and there. I looked under my rig and all over where it should be and nothing so I though hmm, must be from someone else's rig. While I was stopped airing up I plugged in my air hose to the ARB compressor. I thought hmm, again I smell gear fluid and look there its wet when it shouldn't be. YEP, I believe I have a bad seal in either the rear or front locker because its spitting gear fluid back out the purge valve. Ehh, looks like I get to fix that mess.

I hope its the front locker that has the bad seal but then again for repair sake I hope its the back since the C8.25 is much easier to fix. Sucks because I replaced all the seals in those stupid lockers. At this point I'm liking those electric actuated ones better and better.

That's the biggest reason I wouldn't want to but an ARB in anything. Between my buddy and I we've encountered enough wasted seals/o-rings in those to amaze most people... nothing like being stranded in the back country with $1600 in traction aids that won't work... because of an o-ring or two.

Anybody in North Clark County want to go for a short drive up out of Sunset tonight? A buddy and I are going to see how far up we have to go for some good snow.

I would if my jeep wasn't torn apart... There's 2 ft at 2500 ft so you won't have to go far...

I've have run ARBs front & back ( 7.8" toyotas/ dana 60s/ 14 bolts). Not one internal "O" ring failure in 16 years. Go fiqure.
Question: are your axle shafts/ axle tubes bent? This may cause early ARB o ring failure.
I plan on keeping my ARBs & recommend them all the time to others. My .02$

Welcome Bigdaddy we are glad you can come on the forum. You are always welcome to join us on a run.
We have three requirements 1) There is no drinking when we are on the trail. You are more than welcome to drink at camp after the day is over and when we are done driving. 2) That we obey the law (i.e.: stay on the trail, only use the trails that are designated, and that we are always on approved trails) 3) We must have fun that is always a requirement when you go with us. We work had but we always play hard to that is the fun of our sport. We enjoy it and want more people to enjoy it with us.
So welcome to the forum. The next run you want to go on just post up and let us know your going. We would like to have you out on the trail with us. If you have any questions about the club feel free to PM me and ask or just ask anyone that’s a member we are a great group of people.
