Just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Mile Marker up in Kalama, Washington.
Some of you know that Bruiser came with an "old" 12,000lb Mile Marker winch on the front bumper. While it still seemed to be in good working condition, we had no idea what kind of history or trauma it may have experienced before coming to the Crowder stable.
I talked to the engineering manager, JR (aka Walter McMillan Jr.) at the vendor show down in Moab and he hooked me up with Brent at the Northwest office up in Kalama. Brent and his crew performed a thorough electrical testing and visual inspection of the "old" winch free of charge and gave the "VERY OLD & VERY USED" winch a clean bill of health.
That old 12k will now be mounted on Darel's big trailer for recovering broken Fords from the Yacolt Burn. LOL!
Great guys at Mile Marker - happy to help you with any questions or concerns you may have about their products.

Be sure to ask for Brent!
My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body... But rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... WOW! What a Wild Ride!
ExCabSwap: The wind there looks horrible... Still worth it haha

poorboy: Can somebody give me the official rules for the Cowbell please?
May 8, 2016 15:26:47 GMT -8
Wyldman: The Cowbell... If you are a club member and you're on one of our wheelin' trips. If you get stuck on an obstacle and have to be pulled out by your winch or someone elses winch/strap. You earn the Cowbell.

poorboy: Wyldman, I got to see the passing of the bell at the meeting and learned quite a bit about the tradition.
