Yacolt Burn Forest Watch Trip. 3/22/2009 Jon gets temporarely stopped in the snow "Twice" so would be the carrier of the Bell.. but I did not bring it along this day. But then,, Rick wants the Bell. So he proceeds to get a little close to the edge of the road and needs to get hooked up both front and rear and winched and anchored at the same time to pull his rig back to the center of the road. So at this point.. RICK HAS THE BELL !!! Woo hoo !

I think that the "Bell" rules need to be gone over....Dave did not bring the "Bell" and his truck is still in his shop waiting to be worked on. So if Jon got stuck twice and Rick needed a tug and at the end of the day Dave's truck still isn't fixed does he get to keep the "Bell"? Last time I was at Dave's shop he wasn't paying the shop monkey's enough for them to work on his Chevy.....and I think that the shop monkey's have been talking to the brake elves and also the bearing gnomes! They must have a conspiracy going....

Last rig on the strap or cable (at an official club run) gets the bell.
I wouldn't worry too much about who has it right now -- I'm confident that it will get passed around multiple times this coming weekend in the TSF.
Dave, be sure to bring the bell (even if you don't bring your Blazer)...
Officially - it belongs to Rick right now.
I think the shop monkeys got their hands on some motor mounts and the hootie gremlins found a computer -- so Slymer should be "good to go" for this weekend ? ? ?

So.... looking in the photo bucket acct for the club, I saw what looked like a bell passing.
I saw you guys get off the freeway (I was stuck in the left hand lane and couldn't get over), but everything looked ok. Did I miss something?

Yes - indeedy... Darel now has official possession of the bell. Some more electrical gremlins sent two sources of power to the fuel pump, confused the computer and although we looked OK - we were coasting to the top of the ramp in a dead CJ. We though maybe we were out of fuel (which seemed odd) so we called Rick back to tow us to the gas station - where he gleefully transferred the bell to Darel... At the station, we couldn't get hardly any fuel into the tank (so it wasn't empty). Darel then discovered that the switch that turns his headlights on also now magically turns on the fuel pump (without the key on). Whoopie... I think Dave's rig has been out of the shop for too long to have Hootie Cooties -- must be SLYMMMMerrrr related.

Uhmmm.... So I think I need some bell rules clarification. Last weekend I got stuck on a snow berm up near Goat Lake. I had to get out and winch myself off, which was fun and a good test of my winch. Anyway, am I now the owner of the bell? Or am I clear because no other Piston members where present?

Wow Jon, Honest as all get out fessing up to being detained on a non club run.
The way I understand it the "bell" of shame is only on club runs or activities. Someone will be along with clarification if that isnt correct.

We'd sound like a heard of cattle heading to the barn if we had more than one bell. Heck, I'd probably be wearing three or 4 of em at a time. :-)
