Hello All,
John with DCATV here. We are doing a work party up at Bradley trails on February 2nd. If you can join us it would be great! The game plan is below and if you would like to come out and give a hand please let me know, we will serve Breakfast and Lunch! Here is the work plan:
Bradley Trails Work Party
February 2nd, 2013
0800-4:30
Meet up at the Trailhead for morning briefing.
Objective:
Brush out trail to MP 1 (3 feet back from trail edge). Harden trail tread with rock in areas that have been re-graded/repaired by DNR trail technicians. Delineate trail in areas that have multiple routes down to one route. Ensure all work is performed safely and that Discover Pass vouchers are filled out at end of day.
Plan:
Trail technicians will re-grade/repair tread with excavator on the 23rd-25th. DNR will gather supplies on Feb. 1st and bring out on the morning of the 2nd.
5 people will brush out trail through the re-prod (3 feet back from trails edge).
8 people will be spreading gravel and unloading trailers.
Up to 2 people will be operating Excavators and up to 7 people will be operating ATV’s with trailers hauling gravel. (If we can have two excavators we will have 3 ATV’s on the north side and 4 on the south side).
Extra folks will be assigned to brushing and puddle draining on the trail.
DNR will provide:
5 ATV trailers plus two ATV’s with hitches (if needed)
Rock (delivered on the 1st)
Shovels, McLeod’s, Rakes, Brushing Tools (Loppers and Swede axes)
One Excavator plus operator and one rented excavator (Club would have to provide certified operator and would have to pick up excavator)
Needs from volunteers:
Operators for ATV’s
ATV’s with two inch ball hitches
Extra Trailers
Extra brushing tools (if planning on using chainsaws please bring certification card)
Let me know if you can come! Thanks
