My Zj is a 1998 Tsi, with a 5.2l v8, tow hooks and hitch...I think my specs are in my siggy. ;D It had the very common jeep alarm gremlins. I usually don't have problems with it, but it seems to hate my husband. He won't touch it now unless *I* have disarmed it haha. So he started calling it "Hal" as in "I'm sorry dave, but I cannot allow you to drive me today." lol. We are putting in a 2" budget boost this weekend, and getting some 31" tires on her asap! This is Ryan's (hubby) 88 Cherokee Limited. When we got new plates for it my daughter yelled out "It has YRT! That's just like my Yurtle the Turtle dr. Suess book!" So the name stuck...lol. We bought this xj for $550, with half the interior missing, wires hanging everywhere inside, mismatched wheels and tire sizes. Oh and a worn out suspension. Now it's got between 3.5" to 4" of lift, and a complete interior, sitting on 31's. This is what they used to look like:

Very nice. Welcome to the addiction.
Warning: hanging out with this group leads to WAY to many toys to play with and not enough time to keep them all running. You have been warned. That is all. LOL

We just haven't had a chance! We have had out of town family visiting, and then we went out of town. Ryan works evenings, so he wouldn't be able to make it to the meetings, and I always have the kids...we will try to make it to something soon. ;D

Welcome to "Never ending project club". Where the only requirement to join, is a lot of toys and no money to finish them.

WELCOME -- we've been wanting to add some more J's to the club. We look foward to seeing you at a meeting or on the trails. To Wyldman and Racincowboy: Heeeeeeeyyyyyyy... We finish our projects. We break them just as fast as we finish them -- but we finish our projects! Replaced the throttle position sensor in the CJ-5 and it is still under it's own power but needs a new air ring installed in the front locker (have the part - need to find the time) The Race Truck needs a new rear locker now - because DAREL scattered it last weekend at Sand Lake coming out of the front bowl - this is likely due to the fact that he got his brand new, bad ass, fuel sucking, double pumper carburetor installed. Have the internal parts - but need a new housing because that's cracked too. This isn't entirely unfortunate - we've been wanting to go to lower gears and this is a perfect opportunity. Darel's ATV (has a new clunking noise in the rear after loading the dead weight 3,500 pound race truck into the enclosed trailer) My ATV (needs a new fan clutch because it caught some wiring gremlins from the CJ while they were in the shop together) All 4 snowmobiles work great -- too bad snowmobiling season is over... The motorhome is working great after replacing the two spark plug wires that were leaking voltage and defribrilating the computer. Darel's F-350 diesel work truck is currently getting a new engine courtesy of "Courtesy Ford". My Explorer drivers side door lock was sticking (not allowing me to get in) I smacked it a few times - seems to be OK now (you see Rick, I do help out) Projects, smojects -- life is a work in progress...

At least "Sylmer" comes with it's own repair kit! While we were at Sand Lake for Sand Flea, during the rally "Slymer" lost 4 wheel drive. Rick took the hub apart back at camp after the rally and fond it to be shatter!!! He tried to fix it with some wire and he put it back in. Nope still didn't work so we tore it apart agian. We needed something that would be solid to hold the gear on th axle. (the pevious owners did some wierd stuff to the rig so keep in mind that we are kinda working blind!) I mentioned that the rear bumper may work and Rick took the hub to the rear and the bumper fit!!! (bumper made of fence post...not really good for anything!) Darel had a hack saw in the trailer so we cut off 3/4" to fix it. 4 wheel drive still works!!! Like Crystal said...we finish them and break them just as fast!

That was a creative fix! Well, we haven't had much chance to break the jeeps yet lol. We've only had them a few months, and the cherokee needed sooooo much rehab. It had death wobble when we bought it, and it was completely stock! Our F-150 has seen some trails, and plenty of mud. In fact anytime we are under it mud still falls out...and it hasn't been wheeled in YEARS! lol! We don't know what to do with ourselves if we don't have something to mess with. We put my little 2" lift on the Grand last weekend...and 31" tires. ;D Half old tires/half hubby's 31's (test fitting.) My new tires+lift. ;D
