Update again, haha
re-adjusted the roller rockers and presto no more little hammers. Now I have to replace the valve cover gaskets since I had them on and off so many times they leak now. I also have some pan leaks, which sucks cause they could have been prevented. I should have used 2 washers instead of one, because the bolts bottomed out just before the gasket crushed. SO its leaking and needs to be replaced, thats too bad. I also have a leak in the tranny which was puzzling me and the Jim (the machinist). I finally found a factory hole in the side of the accumulator on my TH350. I have no idea what that little hole does but its making me mad. haha
It ran good for 10 min, then I shut it off to cool it down, then started it back up after about 10 min and it fired up perfect. So all I need to do is replace the leaking gaskets and take her for a drive!
Cant wait for it. I'll keep ya posted on the future progress.

Well, I took it out of the shop the other day. Got all I wanted to get done finished. Plus I was antsy to get my 3B in there so I could fix the oil leaks and the broken transfer case linkage. Here are a few shots of just how tight it was. and those were 29" tires. Just making sure while I backed it out. MAN was it close. Disgustingly dirty, and yeah its filthy compared to normal. OK now you can laugh at them cute little tires. ;D Meanwhile I will continue this thread with a new project. The CJ3B had an issue on the trail with its transfer case linkage like I had mentioned in the past. I snapped a shot of it for ya. Plus this thing was leaking oil out faster then I could put oil in. I cant stand oil leaks, plus I don't want that oil on the trails, so Its time for a sprucing up. I also found that I have at least 2 bad U-Joints. Here we go, part 2 just a different rig. These 2 holes are supposed to be connected by what broke off.

I had a similar situation like that once after a rebuild. I found out the new rockers were hitting the valve covers. the rockers didn't show any danage but the engine made a heck of a noise. Fix for me was new taller valve covers.

The 3B is back and running! I rebuilt the leaky transfer case, and inspected my 4spd the best I could. I didn't go to a twin stick for a couple reasons. NO money, haha. The paint cost me more then the rebuild parts for this project so it wasn't bad, minus the stupid seal between the T-case and Trans. That thing was worth its weight in gold, so they thought. I took that little pin that snapped off and welded it. I also put a pin in the bottom one which I also welded. Now instead of just one pin moving that shaft I have 2, which I hope will end that problem. I did however find that after painting it all pretty, it makes my under carriage look dirty as heck. Here are some shots. It drives great and 4x4 works just like normal, I must have done something right. I believe I eliminated the leaking between the Trans and the T-case with that seal, I hope I will have to drive it more, but I think it should work. A shot of the pin I welded back on. The transfer case all finished and back in.
