Meh, i been looking for a while now. Found a nice Cherokee but would prefer a older Jeep. Funds are an issue at the moment as well....need this stock to keep climbing and should have an extra 15k in Nov. If funds are an issue you should look for a samurai. You cany buy one already lifted for a couple grand. Parts are cheaper also. Not to be rude but i always find this comment to be funny. Here's why I bought my jeep for $1800 Motor $200 35"" tires $300 Front springs $200 Shackle reversal $200 Rear spring free Steering $150 Bumpers I made I have $35 into both Sliders a got a clearance for $160 You and I are spending the same amount on lights, tires, rims, seats, lockers, gears ect no matter what Bla bla bla The point is when you built your little Sami I doubt your build list looked much different then mine. Also if I remember correctly you "upgraded" to stock jeep spring. So he could save some money there too. I think the misconception is that jeep parts cost more.but I believe in the end all you have to do is pick a body Style you like and roll with it. In the end your going to replace most of the parts anyway.. I'll get off my soap box now. Sorry

You make a good point but samurai owners are well known cheap skates. I bought my sammy for $900 already lifted and running. And I use less than half the gas your jeep does. Yes I have spent more money making it what is today. When you do the work your self, it is much cheaper regardless of the brand. Cost aside, if I tip over, it only takes 3-4 guys to help put it back on its wheels and because of the narrow wheel base it can fit in to more places than a jeep. You like your rig and I like mine neither one of us is right or wrong we just have different opinions. Mike has his opinion also and he will choose what he likes best. I was just throwing that out there as a suggestion for him.

I totally agree Dave. Tom N often calls me a misbranded Toyota owner. As I insist on him helping me make a $20 bracket from scrap steel. It's all about the $buck$

I read the rules....kinda.....both of those are lies....anyways!
Can I bump to pass? Is that legal? Do you think we can rally cedar tree two rigs wide? Like open wheel status.
These are the questions that keep me up at night.
Holy crap I still need to finish my tire carrier. Remove the rear seat. figure out how to carry 100 gallons of fuel and find an adult sized unicorn intertube to float down the trails of rain water after my Jeep washes away.
carry on
