Anyone here ran any of it? If so, what sections and what time of year? I might try and run some of it with my brother later this year. Everything I have read said its not a 4x4 trip, (bummer) and could be probably be done in 2 wheel drive, so not much adrenaline or pucker factor in this trip, but the scenery is suppose to be amazing, and mot who have done it say its pretty remote.
Anyway, anyone here ran this?

I have not been, but it sounds like fun. What part of Oregon is it in? How long of a drive is it? Is there places to camp along the way? I know too many questions. ;D

I know too many questions. ;D Nah, not to many questions.... questions are good. It runs the whole state, you can pretty much camp where ever you want. Evidently it was part of a back country discovery route that was suppose to run from Mexico to Canada eventually. I guess it got shut down for some reasons I wont go into, but the roads are still there (They always where ). I've read that its anywhere from 700 to 950 miles depending on how you do it, with 95% of the roads being unpaved. Its broke down in sections and it looks people usually do a sectrion or two a year. Anyway, you can find out some details here --> www.oohva.org/Back%20Country/BCDRmain.htmland here --> www.cycoactive.com/obdr/default.htmand here ---> zukiworld.com/month_080101/feature_obcdr_2.htmand heres a couple FJ Cruisers that ran a section --> home.comcast.net/~j.agent/obcdr.htm
