Good news... We are only a week away from 2014!!! Bad news... There is a serious lack of snow in the mountains. Here's the weather forecast for the next few days on Mt. Hood. Its not looking good for snow. forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=45.30421694991994&lon=-121.74808502197266#.Uru0GPYTF_kThis said I'm still doing the hangover run as planned. Hopefully the weather will change to some BIG SNOW in the next week. But even if it doesn't it will be good to get out in the woods and do some exploring. See you all on new years day!!! Daryl

My brother is wanting to go. He can ride with me but I think he wants to drive. Can an F350 crewcab fit where we are going? If not he will have to ride with me.

We are going to be running forest service roads so there shouldnt be any issues as far as the size of the vehicle goes. The only issue would be if there is some snow and how his rig handles it.

He is lifted and has lockers front and rear and fairly large tires. But they will need to be aird down. My worry was that that diesel monster wouldn't fit.

With the lack of snow I don't think that the big diesel monster will have any issues on this run. And my only concern with a large rig like that is if there is deep snow. That can be a lot of work for the smaller rigs if/when they do get stuck.

I might be able to make this trip. However, are you sure Hockinson cafe is open on New Years Day?
