If you go to a yj DL won't that be a 2" tube OD. That will make your rubbing problem fair worse.

Also wont you have to make shorten a YJ DLfor your current setup then shorten it again after installing the d44 do to the pumpkin being larger and therefore moving the pinion closer to the t-case?

What I am seeing is by removing the uni-bearing setup the driveline will angle toward diff at the output shaft yoke instead of traveling straight for 8" or so and then dropping though a 3rd u-joint. In doing that moves the driveline further away from starter/bellhousing

Another great point...I don't wanna shorten and balance it twice, so I better do some measuring...thanx Paul

I've decided to upsize the yokes on t/case and diff to 1310 and run a YJ driveline. It will eliminate that carrier bearing. i think i have a 1310, 10 spline yoke that should work for you, if you want it.

I didn't relies it was two piece. That sounds like a great plan. You and I should talk before you get to far on your waggy front end. Might have an easier solution for you

Message me Paul and we can figure out when we can brainstorm

I apologize for the poor picture quality, my phone is nearing the end of it's life. Anyway with the nice weather this afternoon I decided to plug in my 4-1/2" grinder with a cutoff wheel and attack the Jeepster body. Rear wheel openings first...
