Got the Rugged Ridge floor liners in the other day. Also picked up some El cheapo seat covers since the front seats will not come clean.
Ordering master service kit for the rear end as well as a front bumper here soon.
Oil and filter change at some point tomorrow.

I haven't done much with the build in a couple months. Life and work took over again.

Nice to meet you at the club meeting. I hope you are able to make more of them in the future. As long as my schedule doesn't flop around, I should be making more meetings. I've been working on an idea for the cargo area in regards to storage solutions beyond the big ugly tub. I had built a shelf for the rear of my '87 (I regret selling it, but the new one more than makes up for it) that was removable, but mediocre at best. I'm plannign on doing something a bit more ambitious and usable for this one. New unit will likely be Aluminum with a plywood top. Incorporating drawers and some open cubby spaces for frequently accessed items. The concept drawings: Thoughts?

Looks like a great start! Since your spare is now mounted outside, you might be able to split the subs left and right, and that will give you room to center a pull out drawer in between them. I might suggest having the shelf built out of plywood, with a thin aluminum top, that you can remove, with fold out legs, that would attach to your rear bumper for a makeshift pick-nick table.
That's just my humble suggestion though, I'm sure there are many designs more efficient than mine lol..

General update time! Not much done except for the speaker grilles got a little prettier. Quick easy project. Much better than the broken grilles. Then major issue at hand is the rear axle. What started as a quick brake service turned into a surgical procedure. Right brake quit working awhile ago.... Frozen wheel cylinder and self adjuster screw. Left brake lining is cooked. In the process, I discovered the axle shaft had excessive movement. So new bearings and seals are in order. Off came the pan, out came the lock bolt, cross pin and "C" clips. Spilled 90w blood. I win this round. A little warm maybe? I'll be taking a micrometer to the shafts and if need be, swapping in new shafts. Still need to make sure that I don't a pinion issue, but so far everything in the center section looks and feels fine.

I've been fighting the Virus from hell the last couple weeks, so I haven't had much energy or strength, but I did get the cover cleaned up and the bolts dressed yesterday. The PO must have stock in Orange Silicone, because there was the equivalent to a full tube used on the cover flange. Wrong stuff to use in this application. It's took a couple of wire wheels to abrade all that goop off of the cover. I also spent about an hour with the parts washer and wire brushes cleaning all the Schmoo from the lower half under the plug. WHY OH WHY DID CHRYSLER USE A RUBBER PLUG!!! Leaky turds. Bought a new one too. Also, this little guy is ever so slightly not straight... Luckily replacements are dirt cheap. I have all the required parts and pieces except for the cover bolts, I'll pick those up in a day or two.

After a month. she's rolling again! My spider gears decided to abandon ship while putting the shafts back in, but it all worked out in the end! I have an unintentional detail. I like it! Now, those of you who are intimately familiar with Drum Brakes.... Can you spot my error? It's been remedied. The noise I swore was Pinion bearings... Wasn't! New wheel bearings FTW!!! Granted, the old ones were blue! Should be good for a few trail rides now.
