I wanted to thank all of you for a great trip! I had no idea what to expect from Elbe and was completely rewarded. Sorry we had to leave early. I hope the rest of the run was incident free!
Wayde, thanks for leading the group! I think my wife was tired of the perma-grin that I was suffering Saturday night.

What an awesome day! Phil. You can't earn the cowbell until you become a club member.

Half way through an exciting day of 4-wheeling in Elbe Hills, the group gets a peek under the hood of a Toyota to finally put some facts to the age old question: "Two hamsters and one squirrel OR two squirrels and one hamster?"

Meeting up at Spiffy's Restaurant on Saturday morning The last stop for fuel before heading to the trail. Drivers meeting Heading on out to the trail Crawling along Neat little bridges over the wetlands Bruiser dropping into a nice little hole And before we know it there are vehicle troubles. Dead in the water. We pulled Dave up ahead to a wide spot where we were able to work on the samurai for a while. After working on the samurai on the side of the trail for a while we decided that it would be best to tow Dave back down to the trail head. Once down at the trail head Dave stayed behind to work on the Samurai while Paul and I went to catch back up with the group. Back on the trail.

And before we knew what happened we were spinning wrenches on the CJ. The clutch linkage came apart on the CJ. We tried to get it back together while on the rocks but after a couple of tries it was time to winch to flat land for the trail repairs. These guys came by as we were working on the Jeep. One of them had a nice sounding turbo. Moving down the trail again. Its muddy at Elbe There's also some rocks It was about 3:30 and we were headed back to the trail head to see if we could find the rest of the group when we ran into them headed back out. Back with the group We headed back out to the Rainier Vista trail for one last trail. Where everyone but our fearless trail leader Wade made it up in one piece. Don winched Wade the rest of the way up the hill.

After getting to the top of the hill we finished the trail. Some of us played around in the mud and the rocks for a few minutes. Group shot We then went back to the trail head where we aired back up and had a short discussion about what we should do about wade's broken front axle. After a little discussion it was decided that it would be best to remove the shaft to prevent damaging anything else on the drove home. The pit crew getting their hands dirty The broken CV shaft And thats all. Are you now happy Tom?

Fun trip, thanks Wade for putting this together. Sorry for holding up the group, I am redoing my battery hold down and cable connections. I also bought a spare fuel pump relay that will stay in the sammy. Good to see everyone and looking forward to the next run.

Hey... Sorry so late on the post. I had a GREAT time riding shotgun w/ Crystal. Thank You for letting me tag along. It was awesome to wheel Elbe for the first time. We're planning on going back the last weekend in Aug to meet up with the Evergreen Crawlers to camp at and take on Elbe once again. This time we'll bang up our junk on EVERYTHING! Including Busy Wild. Yee Haw!!!
Until Next Time... Keep it on Three Wheels!
