I did Shawn, it was such a smokin deal I could pass it over.
It's a 1999 7.3l 6 speed manual with 182k.
One owner. Needed a vehicle speed sensor so the speedo didn't work. $14 fixed that. I fiddle with the Warn locking hub but I need to pull unit bearing out and replace the needle bearing that the stub shaft rides in. It get a little vib every so often.
I plan on cutting out the muffle and straight piping, big ars air filter and a TP tuner. Should be a good start.

I pulled the hub/unit bearing out the other day to service some bushings and the needle bearing. Everything went well until I stabbed myself with a pick tool and gauge all the way across my palm. Lame.
But it went back together well and with the limited test driving I have done I think I fixed the vib. Time will tell, the tags are expired so I have to wait for the bank to get them from DMV.
I installed some eclipse 5"x7" speakers I picked up at a garage for $1 last summer and they sounds better. Then yesterday I made two adapters for the front to put some 6" rounds I have had kicking around forever. Love using up parts from the someday pile. I hope to install those tonight. Next in the studio department will be a hand me down 10" Rockford sub and an amp that's been with me longer then Anna. But I haven't decided on box location. I can make a tall skinny for behind the rear seat or replace the 20% front middle seat and reattach the armrest. Then the head unit.
Ordered the TS performance 6 position chip still waiting for it to arrive. It's programmed with stock, 50hp, 75hp tow, 100hp and 140hp race mode. It should be fun

Installed the chip. Check engine light came on. Removed chip chessboard the contacts again and reinstalled. Check engine light. I ran the scan tool....nothing stored in ecu.
Truck runs like a rapped ape on the +75 hp setting. I'm not interested in running in the 100 or 140hp till I get the CEL figured out and have at least an intake and no muffle. Interweb says it need more air then the stock stuff can supply to run those settings.

Better also invest in a pyrometer to keep tabs on exhaust temps.

Yea gauges will come soon. Nice thing about a stick is I will be fine with only two. Pyro and boost. I'm not interested in oil or fuel pressure just for the sake of having them and spending money. No need for trans temp.

The trucks fuel tank was empty when I bought it. First ouch at the pump. 38gal tank. It took 34 I like to fuel up around a half tank so it doesn't hurt so much. Fred Meyers and Safeway usually have the lowest prices on diesel. Costco doesn't sell diesel so don't waste your time there. You'll also learn to hate the gas stations that only have one diesel pump. It's even worse when there's a car at that pump but the gas pumps are empty.

The pumps move a little slower at that temp.....

the trip to the pump does sting but the pull and a little better mileage helps the sting. Costco on Padden has diesel at first 2 islands. And there is nothing wrong with dark side as long as it takes you where you need to go.
