A few of us met up this past Saturday for a day in the snow. After meeting up in BG at 1000, we filed out of town and headed up toward Sunset Falls. It didn't take long to hit snow. We stopped to let some air out. Gotta love winter. We continued on, and the snow kept getting deeper. Eventually the tracks ended, and it was fresh snow for Daryl up front. After awhile it turned into a legit snow run where multiple people became detained, and the winches and shovels had to come out. Good times! I gave breaking trail a shot, and was able to gain a little more ground around a few more bends, but the snow was just too dry to pack. We passed this Subaru on the way down, who was way beyond where a Subaru should have been. They declined our offers of assistance. We then cut back over through Copper Creek, Dole Valley, and up over Four Corners. We spent the next three hours along that route pulling people out of and even off of a ditch. Too much fun!

Awesome pictures! I humbly submit a video Google made for me: Daryl and I both popped a bead. Glad I picked the right slider to weld on first! Had a blast! Great experience learning how to remedy this situation. I'm grateful we had such awesome support all day! Still haven't decided if I liked those snacks Daryl... I'm gonna need to eat some more until I figure that out haha.. On the way home, we came upon a couple rescues, both of which needed winching.. Not sure why, but this guy thought it would be a good idea to take his 2wd van up to 4 corners area... We were happy to help. All in all, great trip!

We moved on. Close to Sunset Falls we stopped to air up. Three of the four of us that were left were headed back to Camas so I decided to head back that way with them. Luckily for this family we decided to take the back roads from Sunset Fall to Dole Valley. While not impressed with his decision making we helped get them out of their predicament. Phil got to test out his new winch! After getting them out it was a lot of icy road into Dole Valley and then up to four corners. We stopped at Four Corners to BS for a few minutes before calling it a night. While there we were watching a set of headlight on the road to Camas. We probably shouldve headed a different direction but thats not what we do. It turned out that there was a Ford Explorer and a Chevy Van stuck in the ditch and we were just the guys for the job. Justin, Phil, And I each did some winching and then Dustin hooked up a bubba rope and drug the van back to four corners. Then we all made a beeline to Camas before we got suckered into doing any more recoveries that night.
