TIME TO HELP OUT OUR YACOLT BURN PARTNERS - THE JONES CREEK TRAIL RIDERS
The Jones Creek Trail Riders have requested our support again for their upcoming Hangover Scrambles on January 1st, 2018.
They have requested our assistance with safety flagging on the day of the event and assisting with keeping the event flowing throughout the day (course clearing and assistance as necessary).
We will also have volunteers assisting with the entry gate and assisting with registration duties in the tower.
I will also need a few volunteers to join me on Saturday or Sunday - December 30th / 31st to meet the JCTRA president at the track to get our marching orders and lay of the land and assist with prepping for the event.
This off-road event promises to be equally exciting for participants, spectators and volunteers alike - and we will have the best ringside seats in the house for all of the shenanigans!
We voted as a club at our January 2017 club meeting to support our partners for this event.
We will need 20-25 able bodies to perform our duties - we hope you can attend...
Please bring your friends and family as this will require all hands on deck to help this small club pull off this massive event.
These efforts will support the effort to raise funding to help build motorized trails in the Yacolt Burn.
Please post up here if you are planning to attend and provide your hoody or t-shirt size.
I need your shirt sizes and choices no later than next Wednesday - December 20th so they can be reserved in your name.
All working volunteers will receive a FREE EVENT T-SHIRT OR HOODY - your choice if you commit by December 20th.
VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE:
- FREE admission to the event (must enter with the group)
- FREE 2018 event hoody or t-shirt (with Piston's Wild listed as a sponsor)
VOLUNTEERS SHOULD:
- dress accordingly - it will likely be cold and possibly wet
- you might be outside in the weather for extended periods of time
- bring food and beverages for your self and everyone joining you for the day
- make your necessities portable/packable in case your vehicle cannot access your work area (some grassy areas are restricted to all vehicles)
- you can bring your ATV's / UTV's if you have them for transport to your worksite
