As of the early morning of the 11th of August my Warn 9.5 TI winch was stolen right off the front of my Jeep in my drive way.
Suggestion: Make sure your winch is fastened down using something other then the factory bolts. Weld the bolt heads or the winch plate to the bumper.
You should always check the mounting points periodically the make sure it hasn't come loose over time. By welding the mounts, it will be a safeguard for mount failure and a major theft deterrent.
I hope my experience can become someones education.
Until Next Time... Enjoy! Wyldman

Sorry to hear about your winch wyldman. Hopefully you can track it down I will keep my eyes and ears open does it have anything special on it that sets it apart. Something that you may have a picture of?

Yes, it was a 9.5 TI and the special thing about it was an additional steel cylinder attached just after the end loop to keep the loop from going into the fairlead. I had the new cable made with that on it.

Thats a bummer. I will keep my ears open through the crowds to see if I hear about it.....you never know who may slip.
My suggestion is to get a couple of the easily accessible bolts and tack the nuts to the bolt. Or bugger the treads with a tack weld. Like I told Doug, the guy I bought my XJ motor from had someone steal his winch right from the front of his house while he was home. I would like to get my hands on these kinds of trash. We work hard for our toys.
