I know some people who know a guy who knows this guy... ;D Bit of wait through the rock stacking piece, but well worth it. Who needs 4 wheels anyway? ;D My favorite quote from another one of the drivers... "The wheel center failed, and damn near broke all the way off, and the ******* Mello still managed to get turned around, clear the three gate climb, and the finish gate without hitting a cone" Nice drivin!

We actually met Jeff while we were running the Tuff Truck circuit.
That prior experience may have assisted him in this video. When he revved the motor up on top of the big rock - I thought he was going to try a bunny hop to the ground - that's the Tuff Truck way... You would be amazed at what a vehicle can accomplish when you think it's down for the count.
One year at the Clark County Fairgounds - after Darel and his best friend Larry had both laid down super fast passes to tie for 1st Place, I ran later in the heat and busted the front housing of the race truck completely in half partway through the course.
Since DNF is not an option for us - I just mashed the throttle to make a left hand turn to the final jump and and the ponies and the 44 rear shoved my junk over the finish line.
One year in Roseburg - Darel was getting ready to run the course and there was a double jump that some of his buddies were clearing in one jump -- ie... Darel thought he could make it too.
Well, just before Darel lines up to take his run, the skies open up and it rains harder than I have ever seen it rain in my life. When Darel hits the jump, the launch ramp had deteriorated just enough to cause him to be about 3 inches shy of completing the double. The front tires caught the backside of the second jump and sent Darel into a high-velocity endo that slapped him into the mud on the exit side of the jump so hard you could feel the gound shake from 100 yards away.
When the emergency crews got him out of the vehicle they asked him to wave to crowd so that they would know he was OK - Darel turned around and waved the opposite direction - it really rang his bell...
Good times - Darel has some cool pics on the shop wall from our Tuff Truckin' days - tons of "air" and lots and lots and lots of broken parts...
(Ooops - I was logged in as Admin - this was me, Crystal)

I remember those tuff truck days. It was a whole lot of fun but very expensive on parts. Now I like to go to watch other people break their stuff. lol
I think my most expensive pass was 1000 bucks in parts in one pass. I think darel has me beat by a long way with his though.
I have run clark county when I am in town as I will be gone this weekend again I wont make it but I am sure it will be a good show it usually is.
