After a lot of thought about what I said in regards to the ODF Work Party, I believe that we should combined a little work with our play if we want to be their as "an official club run" the same day their having the work party. I don't think it would be right not to help out ODF while we're their on Sat. As a rep for Piston's Wild, I don't want to give them the wrong impression about our club and just drive on by the volunteers without lending them a hand for a little bit. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it any other day so, I will be their on Sat to wheel and work. I hope all that plan to make it with me will understand and feels the same way. Let me know if you have changed your mind not to come or if you will help me make it a fun day in the woods. I plan on still wheelin and gettin dirty. Thanks for your Understanding, Wyldman

Are you still planning on meeting at 7:30. Winton and I are planning on wheeling that day. I know the POR Wheelers are coming up so we thought we would wheel with the Pistons group for awhile before they make it up there. Whats the plan for the day? I agree we may need to help - but it also may depend on how many volunteers they have and how much help they need.

The plan is this:
We will meet at Rogers Camp at 7:30 - 7:45am . If someone is their from ODF to allow us to sign their volunteer sheet we will do that for the work party, if not I will have a sheet with me for us to sign. We will head down to Ben Smith road and into the trails from their. Run the most of Archers trails and if we see any volunteers along the way, stop to offer them a hand or a water. If they need a hand will hang for a little bit and help out. That's the the day will go unless someone wants to run something else exciting. I would like to see what Can Opener and Airplane looks like. Whatever we do, we'll have fun doing it.
FYI... I need to take off about 4-4:30pm to head back to town.
Hope to see y'all out there.

We would love to give you a tug. There are a lot of trails you can make it through and if you don't feel comfortable with them, there are always by-passes. Hope to see you out their.

Maureen & Winton we're the only other rig that came out with me for the run. We had a pretty uneventful day. We left Rogers Camp about 8:10 am towards Ben Smith and up to the Rock Garden. Played on it for a while, then over to Water Fall and ran it a couple of times. We meet up with POR Wheelers to watch them play on this trail a bit. I thought we were going to continue as a bigger group however, they decided to head another direction. So the two of us went and played on Can Opener and then I had my friend Mike drive up Rocky Up Hill. (I'm trying to get him to buy a Jeep). By the way no volunteer action yet. We had cleared some trees and picked up a lot of trash along the way though. On over to Seven Up. No action there. I thought Maureen was going to give it a shot and then she decided against it. Over to Airplane and we finally met up with Jamaal from ODF. Now we know why we didn't see any volunteers. Only three people showed up officially to help. Rescue Ranger Ken and his Wife and another guy named Justin. I asked Ken how he felt, and he said his ribs still hurt from the Most Prepared game at our Cruise-In. What a trooper. After talking to Jamaal for a bit. He informed us that they were done for the day. So after some chit chat we ran Airplane. Maureen made it up and I get to keep the Cow Bell. We ended up running Saddle Up and then back to Rogers Camp and home. On the way home though the Jeep wasn't acting her self. After inspection... I discovered my drivers rear shock had been crushed by a big rock on Airplane. Oh well, time for new shock anyway. We had a great time and fantastic weather. Sorry I forgot my camera so no pics this trip.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Wyldman, Good to met you. I couldn't convince the guys I was riding with that we should ride in and watch you guys at Airplane so we did the easy side of 7up and Hogs back then took the quad trails back down to Lyda camp then back over to Browns Camp to load up and head home. Terry

Sorry Doug we turned and went up the upper waterfall and thought you guys were up on the other side. Then we went around and down to go up Rocky Uphill. From there the POR wheelers were off to the crushers for some good times. All the rigs went in and came out with only one casualty. One rig broke a longside inner D30 yukon shaft and had to use a winch to help get out. It twisted and broke the splines on his Yukonium shaft. Didnt go to bad until he broke his track bar bolt at the frame. Luckily we had spare bolts and off we went with one rig in only 3 wheel drive.
