Following is an update on the Yacolt Burn Trails Fund. These dollars will be used solely for the purpose of building motorized trails in the Yacolt Burn.
2008 Cruise-In: $1,209.38 Scrap Vehicles: $294.63 Cherokee Parts: $25.00 Hot August Night: $53.00 Clean-Up Donations: $26.00 Shirt Fund Raiser: $1,660.00 2009 Cruise-In: $4010.22
TOTAL $7278.23
I would like to set a goal to reach $10,000.00 by April 1, 2010. To get the ball rolling in that direction, here are a few things that should help us reach that goal...
There is a second fund raising shirt project still in the works - I currently have two sponsors and I am looking for 3 more. $250 buy in gets the sponsor 1 free shirt of their choice and their business name and website (or phone number) on the shirt design.
We still have a few shirts left to sell from the first shirt fund raiser: 1 Small Black Adult Hoody & 1 Black Youth Large T-shirt
We still have the 4.0 - 6 cylinder engine from the Cherokee for sale $300 OBO.
Please let me know if you have any other ideas for fund raisers - I would love to hear them...
Great Job Everyone!
Kind regards,
Crystal Crowder Club President Piston's Wild Motorsports

a 4x4 truck show would be a cool way to raise money....sorta like rod run. get some BBQs set up, sell some tshirts, find a parkin lot nd charge a couple bucks for parking. woodies had a truck show and there wasnt enough room to park, and its too far in the city so people couldnt really drive their trucks in. i know alot of people that would throw in some money for the project. if you hold an open show, where people can come in their rig...beater or pavement princess...or just plain cool...you'd have one hellova show. might get some excited volunteers to help too.

hmmmm....well thats my lack of knowledge comin to nip me in the butt! MY BAD!!! lol im just puttin in my thoughts though..... Its ok dont worry about it. We know that we have out grown that particular parking lot and are searching for a new locations. We always welcome new ideas. My philosophy is the more the ideas there are then we have more to choose from as far as events ect. I saw your other comments on the education thread and we are more then happy to have you and your friends that are serious about the sport and want to learn some tricks about your rigs from the "old" guys. I remember being just out of high school and being looked at funny when I would show up at races with just my open trailer and sleeping in a tent. Then when I fired the motor in the racer everyone wanted to take a look. It was a nice feeling when that rumble would wake the neigbors. Oh those were the days. lol
