Wow - DNR is going to be busy this week - this landslide took out what would be our best access to the Naches recreation area. LANDSLIDE ON HIGHWAY 410 CLOSED "INDEFINITELY"This landslide started to rapidly move on Oct. 10 - 11. The landslide as of Oct. 12 is active and currently still moving. It has damaged at least 12 houses and structures, covered Highway 410 (closing it indefinitely), diverted the Naches River and is causing soft sediment deformation as it moves into the valley. DNR was on the scene evaluating public safety. The photos are from crews on the ground and in the helicopter. Its like the Earth decided to throw up all over our roads this year....That one looks like a huge mess though, and much more destructive.

Wow that is some awesome power. I feel sorry for those people that lost property and homes. Looks like the whole mountain just fell off the side.

looks like that slide is on the Naches end of the canyon. Access still available to Kaner flats, milk pond from thewest end of the canyon.. Awsome action. Mom nature just trying to find her level.
