Like they say - it's good to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Now, more than ever is a good time for all of us to be learning more about the Sierra Club and how they operate as well as keeping an eye on what they are focusing on in Washington. Most importantly - we need to be prepared if they decide to focus on the Yacolt Burn for any reason. cascade.sierraclub.org/It's important to recognize that they are an extremely organized, very powerful, highly motivated, well funded organization and should NEVER be underestimated. On the flip side - they also do some good things for the planet as a whole. I personally believe that some forest areas should be protected as wilderness. The disagreement lies with how much acreage should be reserved and where exactly those wilderness areas are located. Just my thoughts... Crystal
