Thank you to everyone that came out to help on Sunday with the vehicle recovery in the Yacolt Burn. A phenomenal day in the woods and we all still made it back to the big screen in time to watch the kick-off...
Great turnout from seven Pistons Wild members and guest Nathan Reilly, Marty Tilford and Keith Watson from Vancouver 4-Wheelers, Jon Halleaux from NW-Wheelers forum and of course Mike Smith (xj666) the owner of the Cherokee.
Until we set up the pics on the website - following is a link to the pictures stored in the Pistons Wild photo bucket - check back again later for additional photos and maybe even videos of the recovery.

Everyone had a great time and the direct contribution to the effort in the Yacolt Burn is as follows:
- 12 volunteers donated 96 hours to the Department of Natural Resources which comes out to approximately $2500 in matching grant dollars value
- We saved the DNR at least $500 (what they would have been charged by the tow truck company to remove the vehicles from the hillside) most tow companies won't even recover from these conditions - for any price...
- The owner donated the vehicle to our club (scrap may only be $50- $75 – but it is the thought that counts)
- For a net benefit of over $3000 that can go towards building trails in the Yacolt Burn Forest Area instead of being wasted on cleaning up after vandals
Thank you again to everyone - your efforts are greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing you all in the months ahead as we hopefully get the go-ahead to start building trails.
Kind regards,
