www.OverTheHill4x4.com Over the Hill 4x4 is located in NW Portland by Schnitzer's Metal Recyling. This is an offroad shop (small two man place) that specializes in Landcruiser's: fj40, fj60, fj55, fj80 ect., but they do work on other vehicle makes, jeep, chevy, suzuki ect. These guy's are all about pushing idea's and engineering to the limits. I've seen 3 & 4-linked rigs on air bags & coil-overs, with 6.0litre MPI engines, cruisers with 532ci big blocks, rear stear, hybrid axles(2.5ton military outers & land cruiser center) custom 0.25" wall drivelines, and all sorts of other cool stuff. V8 & power stearing convertions, lifts, weld in a role cage, they do it all. They're also real good mechanics and have figured out issues I've had on rig's long after I had given up and other shop's failed to fix. Also their shop rate is usually half of any other shop in Portland/Vancouver that I've been to. Just ask them... This is my go to shop for the past 8 years on my fj40 & toyota pickup. flip.flop

I've always heard good things about them. When I had the FJ (Miss you Ozwald!) I had looked at having them do my lift and stuff. I ended up going with Metal tech only because they fabbed the bumper and stuff. I never even got around to pricing it out with them... That being said I did see a post somewhere (maybe on NWFJCC, I can't remember) saying they had lowered there shop rate, and it was a pretty good rate. Cheaper than MT's! hahahaha

Yah totally, not the prettiest things but dang how cool would that be, gain something like 3" of diff. clearance just by swapping in a different axle, not to mention a 2:1 additional gear reduction at the portals flip.flop
