my name is terry and i spoke with jessica a few weeks back about this project. she referred me to your group. i attended the meeting last night. afterwards i spoke with one of the members and he told that the proposed trails would not be full size rig friendly. i must say that is dissappointing news. i know alot of people that have full size trucks that were looking forward to assisting with this project only now to find out that we wont be able to use them. i have a large family so a smaller rig is not an option. i want them to go with me. now we cant go and use this area without getting a smaller truck. any feed back will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Terry, welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoyed the meeting of Piston's Wild club, and found it informative.
During the planning process for the Yacolt Burn it was the intent of the planning group to not exclude any user group. To that end we were successful. Full sized truck's have not been excluded from the over all plan.
There are still some step's with the plan that need to be completed. Namely those outlined at the meeting.

i was under the impression from the member i spoke with that the trails were going to be to narrow for full size rigs. i posted this thread to get more information. i realize that everything is still in the planning stage. i plan on attending more meetings and gathering as much information possible. i plan on joining your club as well. thank you for your info.

Hello Terry,
Full size vehicles have never been and are not currently excluded from this planning process.
I know that I have stated in the past that if the full size 4x4 community does not step up soon - it is unlikely that the trails will be built to accommodate full size vehicles. Since I shared that comment - the full size community, including the Wheelers of Washington as well as other local full size clubs, have more than stepped up to the plate.
I would like to know which member of this club told you that full size vehicles would be exlcuded - so that they have the opportunity to explain where they got that information and so that I have the opportunity to provide them with the correct information.
I look forward to hearing your response...
Crystal

it was me that he spoke to. He was talking about building a suburban to wheel and we were talking about trail size and full size rigs.I did not say there would never be full size trails but just like every were else they are going to smaller rigs to be able to do more trails and it would take some time. Sorry if you missunderstood what i was saying.

i was under the impression after speaking with rick that there were no plans for full size trails. i posted this thread to get more information about the project. i apologize for mis-understanding. i didnt have enough information. im totally onboard with the project. i do realize that the size of my rig can be a problem when it comes to wheeling. anyone can send me an e-mail and i will give them my cell number. i would look forward to the contact about the project. any help i can offer i will.

Hey Terry all the plans that we know of are in this section of the forum but most of it is still in the planing stages. Which when SEPA is finished with there part the actual planning of the trails will began. When we get more info Crystal is real good about putting it on here. If I am wrong someone can correct me.
