Just a reminder to all who enjoy the snow...
DON'T go wheeling by yourself. I've made this mistake and it wasn't a fun experience. I got stuck in 3' of snow with no one around. My winch took a crap on me and I blew a tire.
Luckily their was a group that came up to assist me. 3 hours later I was back on the road. Please learn from my mistake.
If you go out:
Take a minimum of two rigs.
Tell someone where you are specifically going, when you plan on returning and don't deviate from that.
Bring WARM clothing including a spare pair of shoes and a good blanket. God forbid something goes wrong, at least your prepared.
Bring extra food just in case.
Last but not least, keep your head screwed on correctly and exercise patience.
Oh ya, have a blast and a good snow ball fight. They're very therapeutic. ;D
Enjoy All You Do!

to second this, i dont know how many times as a member of search and rescue i have seen this kinda of stuff. from experienced hunters and hikers to families out for a saturday afternoon hike... some should know better, some should stay at home and turn on the TV and watch nature there for their own safety and ours... just saying that if i have to come out and find anyone of you guys for doing something like going wheeling alone or some other form of ridiculousness that wakes me up at 2am to go look for you, when we find you we will tell you to go sit in the corner...
we all should know better, and we all know people who have done this and should of known better(i too have done this -went wheeling alone and got stuck, had to leave my truck as i had nothing to sustain myself overnight, and hike to the "main" road where i was lucky to have some couple out looking for christmas trees run across me and give me a ride back to my house. i was then able to called some friends and convince them come out and recover my truck.... long story short it was a long night of setting and resetting winch lines and slinging loading/attaching a winch to my truck as no one else was dumb enough to drive into where i was...). learn from us, save you self some grief, time and ulcers and just go prepared as stated above in the OPs(wyldman) statements. any one of us will come out to help you but we will all be much more happy if its not an emergency situation, and you are not alone or ill prepared.
