Will there be any more training sessions? I am very interested, but I work a 24 hour on call day most Mondays and can't get away. I AM able to provide a meeting room that can hold 30 people at no charge for an event like this.

Hey beatcj,
Welcome to the forum...
DNR is reconsidering that March 9th training date, due to only a few (6) people showing up at the training last week. I will post information as they work out their next steps...
Can you share more information with me about that available meeting space and where it's located?
There are many situations that we are looking for somewhere to have meetings regarding the Yacolt Burn activities and have a hard time finding a large enough space.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Are we on for the Monday forest training? What if you have had some skelotons in the closet in your past?? (Background Checks??) I've not always been the mild mannered computer geek that I am now. I've got some 20 yearish old skeletons in my closet. Nothing serious, but I haven't always been the angel I am now. In all seriousness though, nothing over a speeding ticket in 18 years. Do we know how far back they go, or what they would DQ for? I want to apply and help, but at the same time, I dont want to tarnish the club with my past issues. Thoughts?

Well I dont think anyone around here has been total angels. I would check with Crystal and have her talk to DNR and see exactally what they screen for. I have no idea how extensive it is.
Jon, I think if the worst you have had is some speeding tickets in the last 18 years I wouldnt think you have anything to worry about.
I know when my wife had her backround check they had to call and get more info on her because they could not even find her in the system. I think with getting married recently had something to do with it.

We've all got skeletons in our closet... Mine was a restraining order filed against me 20 years ago. It involved my aluminum softball bat, my custom steel Jeep bumper and my cheating ex-boyfriend's 1970 Hemi Cuda... And then there was the time that I... (wait, that might be TMI) We all have minor lapses in judgement. If you're willing, PM me your skeleton(s) and how many years ago it happened and I will "test drive" it through the process to find out up front if it's going to be a problem. Most situations won't be a problem unless it was very recent and/or very violent.

Pretty sure theres a country song some where in that The more I think about all of it, I'm not worried about it. None of it was violent (Drugs and theft charges), and all of it was a longggggg time ago. Of course there was the time back in the early 70's I was a hitman for the Mexican mob.... Never got caught though... the desert tells no secrets.... KIDDING!! ;D So Monday Monday Monday!! Should I "BE THERE?"

At this time -- YES. Jessica is on vacation this week - so I won't have an absolute confirmation from her until Monday morning.
