I received this e-mail this morning from Tim Gilman with the B.F. Goodrich Outstanding Trails Program. I will be contacting him today and we will hopefully be inviting them to the Pick Up the Burn event on September 25th, 2010.
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE - GREAT JOB!

Dear Crystal,
Congratulations! Yacolt Burn has been selected as part of the 2010 Outstanding Trails program by BFGoodrich Tires. I want to introduce myself. My name is Tim Gilman; I’m the manager of this program. Along with United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA) and Tread Lightly, BFGoodrich Tires created the Outstanding Trails program to highlight five of the best off-road trails in the country each year and to aid in the responsible use and preservation of these off-road trails. Yacolt Burn was selected from a very large field this year; you should be very proud.
So what does this mean for you and your club? I received your e-mail address from Todd Ockert at UFWDA, he said you would be the best person to contact. As a part of the program, BFGoodrich Tires would like to host an event at each Outstanding Trail, to highlight the uniqueness of each location as well as to partner with the conservation and the responsible use of the trail. BFGoodrich Tires will also give a grant to your off-road club to help with the costs associated with the trail’s conservation.
So right now, I’m simply writing to inform you of this recognition. I’d like to get on the phone with you to discuss further, answer your questions, find out more about Yacolt Burn and talk about when we could possibly do an event this year.
If you will, please email me back with a time that would work for you to speak with me on the phone.
2010 marks the 5th year of the Outstanding Trails program. To date, BFG and the Outstanding Trails program have recognized 18 trails and given $70,000 in grant money for trails across North America. If you would like to check it out for yourself, go to www.bfgoodrichtires.com/outstandingtrails
Please feel free to contact me with any and all questions, concerns or comments that you have.
Once again, Congratulations!
Tim Gilman
