Headed back up there last night. It must have snowed another 3' since Friday. All of our tracks were pretty much covered. The quarry where the vids were taken was all virgin snow. It was a blast playing around in it! We sure could have used the yellow thing breaking trail though. Hope to get one more trip in before it starts melting.

I just got the pins out of my hand yesterday (broke my finger). Dr said 2 more weeks before I should be back to full use.
If I didnt have that going on I would be all over going on a snow run up there. I havent been on a good night run for a couple years. I might be up for it after the Sand Flea rally if there is still snow.

So here's a topic for discussion.
We made it to around 3400ft Monday night. I took the lead for a bit, and was able to make pretty good progress. Do you think it's possible to break trail over the pass (4000ft)?
I would really like to make a push and try and see if we could make it over the top. Just not sure if it's doable yet, since we're expected to get more snow this weekend.
Anybody free on Saturday? ;D

Its roughly 4000ft where we turned around. Where we were was one of the toughest areas along the road. Once you make it across the top and start to descend there are multiple snow drifts in the curves along the road from the east winds. With the amount of snow that is up there most are sketchy at best Our chances would greatly improve if that yellow thing was out front

So here's a topic for discussion. We made it to around 3400ft Monday night on the 42rd. I took the lead for a bit, and was able to make pretty good progress. Do you think it's possible to break trail and make it over the 42rd? How much more elevation gain is there? I would really like to make a push and try and see if we could make it over the top, and either hookup with the 54rd or head out through Carson. Anybody free on Saturday? ;D Wow, those pics are sweet I'm glad somebody is playing in the snow. Those pics almost teased me enough to head up to Larch Mt. today but it's boring playing in the snow by yourself. I think Anglebar is right on, there's so many off camber drifts that most really are not safe to venture out on, espcially late Winter early Spring the snow is usually pretty unstable. I'm busy this weekend so I can't attend any snow functions, I guess its just web wheeling for me Thursday & Friday will produce snow fall down below 4000' ;D flip.flop
