So I went and had Breakfast with my Mom on Sunday. During our munchfest she was telling me about a guy she works with, big into jeeps, and that he was out in Moab this week. Sounded cool, I'd love to go someday, but other than that I didn't think to much of it. Just another guy in a jeep living the dream
So today I "come into work" after my tough commute and I get a mail from my Mom from her friend the jeeper (who seems to be a member of the jolly jeepers). Anyway heres the mail...(or at least the important parts).
"The group Piston's Wild has had an important part in a two year mission on working with DNR and Wa DOF to open a ORV park in the Yacolt Burn area(southwest Wa)
This project has worked it way through the lower officials in both agencies and is on its way to upper officials in Olympia to be approved. At this point they don't see
any major obstacles in the way of this approval. If all goes as planned the park should start be developed in the spring of 2010. As of the week of March 23rd a
consultant has been hired to survey a 40,000 acre area of the Yacolt Burn to make a park like Brown's Camp for all class of vehicles. HOW EXCITING!!!
One of the great things this will do, is not only give us another place to wheel, but relieve a lot of pressure off of Brown's Camp.
That is why ODF is excited about this also."
I thought it was cool that a club I am a proud member of is getting some good word of mouth press! Now if my Mother had been paying attention, she would have known I was a member of the club, but I love my Mom and she has put up a lot with me, so I'll let it slide ;D
