Received this e-mail from Dave Hiatt with ODF in December looking for camp hosts for Jones Creek Camground (Oregon).

Tillamook OHV Users –
As you may know, the Oregon Department of Forestry currently plans to use ATV transfer funds during the summer (June – Early September) of 2012 to provide amenities and a vehicle for a 2nd Camp Host at the Jones Creek Campground.
It is very important that the hosts for this position are OHV Positive as their primary responsibility will be to meet and greet users in the surrounding OHV camping areas. The 2nd Host will also sell firewood at the Jones Creek campground on the primary host’s regular days off and may also assist the primary Jones Creek host with other items.
Camp hosting durations are variable and do not usually exceed 4 weeks in order to allow various people to take advantage of the opportunity.
Please see this link for amenity, etc. details - Camp Host Program Details e.g. septic (via Blue Boy), Propane, water, electrical hookup, ODF radio, etc.

Current plans are to provide the 2nd Hosts with an ODF vehicle so they can regularly visit the Diamond Mill OHV Staging Area, the Cedar Creek OHV Staging Area and the dispersed campsites near those in order to meet and greet users, provide OHV maps and other ODF literature, encourage litter/fire/fee compliance (does not collect fees) by educating the users. Additional responsibilities include notification of ODF personnel of heavy maintenance needs or other issues via radio plus light janitorial, e.g. restock supplies at porta-potties and restrooms in these areas.
Please get your application or one from your OHV enthusiast friends submitted ASAP! Camp host positions usually fill very quickly!
Thanks,
