Since I have only been there once, and now have a map I was hoping that some of you guys could lead me to some of the trails that are fun or that you like best. I have a small lift, and 32" TSL's, Locked rear, and a winch for just in case. I don't want to play on too many rocks but some are fine. I was also wondering what the trail is called that goes under the stump?
I'll be using my CJ3B, my avatar pic

I believe the one the goes under the stump is called cedar tree. Dont quote me on that but I remember hearing that one time. I myself like hoodraiser, fire break 5 trails like that. My jeep has only a small lift and those trails dont have too many rocks. Hoodraiser is just a nice drive not challenging but just a nice drive that runs parallel to the gravel logging road.
The powerlines are fun to run as well. Mostly just up and down hills no rocks to speak of. Just watch out when you get down there and see a couple signs that say extreme downhill at the bottom of that is little rubicon with BIG nasty rocks. That should get you started.
I know when we get back down to browns camp this spring/summer we can show you around. I am still learning the area as well.

They're all fun!
The difficulty rating is very accurate for trails in the Tillamook Burn.
Obviously you can easily run the "Easiest" and the "Moderate" trails with no problems.
You can also probably run all of the "Difficult" trails (just make sure you travelling with at least one more well equipped vehicle) and bring a passenger along to "pack rocks" or run out your winch cable if necessary.
Be cautious of "Airplane", I've heard rumors that there is a group working on it trying to make it more challenging.
The trail that goes under the stump is Cedar Tree Trail which you should have no problems with your set up (as long as the snow is not too deep). This is one of our favorite "club run" trails.
And of course the Powerlines are always nice and easy - just don't drop into the topside of Little Rubicon (go around). It has BIG rocks and an almost guaranteed "ass over tea-kettle" result for short wheel base.
We always enjoy Firebreak 5 for a club run. Challenging, scenic but just about everyone can make it under their own power.
You might be able to do "some" of the "Extreme" trails, but you will need assistance (winch or another 4x4) and will likely experience some "clearance issues" and receive some free custom fab work for the underside of your Jeep.
Almost all of the "Severe" trails involve rocks -- lots and lots of BIG rocks. For your vehicle - body damage and frustration levels will be high. We don't play on 7-Up or Crushers (well, those of us with straight sheet metal anyway).
Have fun out there -- be safe -- and post when you would like to go out there - I sure some of our guys would be honored to show you where the best stuff is.
Happy trails!
Crystal

Post up when you want to go. This weekend wont work for me, but any other time usually would. I'm new to the area, but if nothing else we could run the trails I've run already, and maybe exlore a bit. Darrel,Crystal, Bill and his other brother Bill all seem to know the area extremely well. X2 on everyting Crystal says... I was actually pretty shocked that I could run the dificult trails, in fact my first trip out there with the Pistons we ran a section of Archers that was rated as dificult and I didn't even know till I was looking at the clubs photo's :-) Hey Lance, the hood rasier trail is sponsored by the NW FJ Cruiser Club (which really isn't an offical club, just a group of FJ's). I've yet to actually drive my clubs trail We drove by it on the last trip on C-Line, but where trying to get over to firebreak 5, and never made it. Still haven't ran Cedar yet either, but am sure I will this summer... Its gonna be an awesome year!

Thanks for the ideas. I have planned my trip for the first weekend in June. Might arrive on Friday to camp, then drive trails on Saturday camp Saturday night and drive around a bit on Sunday then make the trip home. I have at least 2 guys from Oak Harbor area that I have been talking to on the CherokeeForum. I may also have 2 or 3 of my friends as well. I would be delighted and honored if some of you guys would like to join me.
THIS of course is weather permitting. I'm not big on camping in the rain, or driving my CJ with no top in it as well.
