Gary Kipp from the Cascade Cruisers hosted a GPS event yesterday. We all met up at the grade school in Yamhill, OR where the teams were given the directions and rules for the day. Carmmal, myself, Teresa and Shawn Sullivan joined up as a team for the day. We started at 8am and were to be to the finish point at 4pm. This pic is from the 4th or 5th dead end that we came to just trying to find our way into the Trask. The are many many roads that are on maps and GPS that are now gated. At the bottom of the twisted maple trail. I had already tried going up it but it was so slick that I couldnt make it without airing down. Finally made it up the first climb More Twisted Maple Finally at Check point 1!!!! Only 4 hours and 6 minutes after we met up in the morning. And only 9 more check points left for the day. Onto the Ginsberg Trail. This was a deep puddle. The trails were extremely saturated and it was difficult to travel through. This is at the top of Ginsberg Point. Even after driving in the snow the tires wouldnt clean out. Shawn and Teresa making their way to the top

In the snow covered in mud. Good times!!! Going down the Ginsberg trail Check Point 6 On the Eagle Hill trail. Check point 7 was right in the middle of the trail. At check point 7 When we were leaving check point 7 it was just after 3pm and we had to be back to the finish point by 4pm. Anything later would be a 100 point deduction. We finished the trail and started heading south when we got back on the road. Thats when we came across this. There's Carmmal and Shawn reading the map looking to see what our options are. And it was decided that we keep moving forward. After we got both rigs past the washout we were on a mission to get back to the finish line in time. While using the GPS to see where we were and Carmmal reading the map, and Shawn jumping ahead of me at the last cluster F... of an intersection we managed to come sliding into the finish right at 4pm! The one thing that came out of this is that we will be going to the Trask for some wheeling this year. Oh yeah, and we won!
