Yacolt Burn 4x4 Trails
C-14 Trail Clearing Work Party
May 22nd, 2016 - Sunday
Please join Piston’s Wild Motorsports for a great day in the Yacolt Burn for brush clearing of the new 4x4 trail currently known as C-14.
Please support your sport – the trails need you…
Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Where: Meet at Deer Pen Rock Pit (Intersection of 1500 & 1560 Roads)
Map: file.dnr.wa.gov/publications/amp_yacolt_burn_mototrail_map_20150810.pdf
Please bring your own food and water for the day.
What do volunteers need to bring? Gloves, work boots, long pants, long sleeves – dress in layers appropriate for weather. Rain gear is highly recommended for this work date.
Work will include hand clearing existing culverts and clearing brush/slash with chain saws and loppers to clear the way for equipment access to build the trail in the coming weeks.
This work party will be open to the public and hours worked will count toward volunteer hours to receive a free Discover Pass.
Please contact Crystal Crowder if you have any questions about the work party.

SUPPORTING FUNDS FOR WORK PARTY MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES ARE BEING PROVIDED BY RCO DEVELOPMENT GRANT #14-1809D
Yacolt Burn Recreation Plan Off-road Vehicle Trail Development
This 2-year grant was awarded in 2015 to the Pacific Cascade Region of the Washington Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $373,800 + DNR Matching Funds of $93,700.
This brings the total of this maintenance grant to $467,500 to develop 6 new miles of motorized trails in the Yacolt Burn State Forest (including 4x4, ATV & Dirtbike trails).
RCO grants are funded by your OHV fuel tax dollars and OHV permit dollars - hours worked by volunteers contribute to DNR's eligibility to continue to receive these grants in the future.
Specific details about the grant can be viewed here: secure.rco.wa.gov/prism/search/ProjectSnapshot.aspx?ProjectNumber=14-1809
