Greetings all! Long time lurker, first time poster! Glad to see there are some local and "positive" off-road enthusiasts in the area. I grew up near Camp Bonneville and have enjoyed the whole Yacolt Burn area as a young child form motorcycle riding at Jones Creek to exploring the many miles of service roads and searching for mine sites. I'm now married with two boys and we often do some exploring ourselves and last year started taking my oldest son riding at JC. Anyways.....I look forward to meeting and wheeling with you all, and doing my part and help contribute to our community Thanks! Oh yeah.... I wheel a slightly modified Geo Tracker ;D

Welcome Glad you are interested in the project. Make sure you come to our next meeting. Also ... several of us live in Battleground so you have some local people to wheel with. Watch our local and or club events sections. See you soon. Dave.

Thank you for all the welcomes ;D I would like to attend the next meeting in September if possible, but if I read it correctly its at the Crowder's home in Ridgefield? Is this for members only or open to new attendees as well?
Thanks,
Anglebar

Hey Seth,
I replied to your PM about the next club meeting - I look forward to meeting you there...
And, welcome to our forum. I always try to "figure out" what people's screen names mean. Would you be willing to share the story behind "anglebar" and why you have a cross skull and bones as your avatar?
We try really hard to keep all of our activities posted on the calendar and in the Events areas on the forum - hopefully you will be able to join us sometime and meet the "gang".
Again, welcome -- please feel free to call me directly if you have any questions or concerns about the club or about the Yacolt Burn Trail project.
Happy trails...

Ok, since Google probably didn't help with the user name definition here goes ;D My user name should actually be two words "angle bar". It is most commonly heard on the railroad, and is used to join two rails together using bolts or repairing a broken section of rail temporarily. As far as the "pirate flag" for the avatar, it means nothing other than a small joke between my family. My son wanted to be a "pirate" one Halloween and sometimes call us the "pirate family". Hope that sums it up! PM en-route pistonschick

I like the pirate sticker that is original.
I once saw one on the back window of a f350 dually that had a Grandpa, Grandma, a dog, cat and an outline of a 5th wheel trailer. It was pretty funny to see after all the generic ones on the family minivan.
